Who we are
Pat is the creator of Seamee Apparel.
As a longtime boater, Pat loved exploring the waters of Connecticut and Long Island Sound. In 2012, she moved to Florida and discovered a new boating paradise on the Indian River Lagoon. Year-round boating, beautiful scenery, and abundant wildlife made it a special place to call home.
While walking along the causeway between the barrier island and the mainland, Pat often stopped to take in the natural beauty around her. She watched schools of fish, pods of dolphins, shore birds, and manatees moving through the water.
As she learned more about the unique Indian River Lagoon ecosystem, she also learned more about the challenges manatees face. These gentle, curious, slow-moving sea cows are threatened by boat and propeller strikes, pollution from improper fertilizer use, and discarded fishing line.
That is when Seamee Apparel was born.
Pat decided she wanted to do more than simply admire manatees. She wanted to help protect them and raise awareness in the boating and coastal communities.
Today, Seamee Apparel gives others a way to help too. When you purchase a hat or sun-shirt, you are supporting a mission that gives back to manatee and Indian River Lagoon causes in Florida.
Our goal is to spread awareness, inspire compassion, and connect with people who care about protecting these amazing animals and the waters they call home.
When you wear Seamee, you are wearing more than a shirt or hat. You are wearing a message.
Seamee, Wear Me, Save Me.
